Rhode Island chapter American College of Cardiology CV Team Social 2017
On April 27, 2017 the Rhode Island chapter of the American College of Cardiology hosted its first annual “Cardiovascular Team member social night out”.
Hosted at Ironworks Tavern in Warwick, Rhode Island, the RIACC invited cardiovascular team members for a casual and informative evening. The attendees included: nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, cardiovascular technicians and CV administrators to learn more about the American College of Cardiology.
Over 30 attendees enjoyed a fascinating lecture from Dr. Ralph Riello III PharmD, from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy discussing “transition of care”. It was highly informative, educational and very well received by all.
After coffee and dessert, current Rhode Island ACC Governor Dr. David Donaldson delivered a short address about the American College of Cardiology and the role of the cardiovascular team.
Thanks to the support of Janssen pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson pharmaceuticals, it was an exciting and informative opportunity to learn more about the American College of Cardiology and the expanding role of the cardiovascular team.
